Use Merge Tags when Pushing Lists to Mailchimp
You can push additional contact information from Ad Orbit to Mailchimp: Address, Zip, City, Primary Rep, Company, Category, and Contact Dynamic Attributes. You need to create a list and add merge tags in Mailchimp before you can push this additional information from the system.
Once you have your tags set up in Mailchimp, you need to have a contact list created in Ad Orbit . We recommend creating a single master list.
Click on Set Merge Tags to map your Ad Orbit fields to the merge tags you set up in Mailchimp. You need to select the Mailchimp list you want to use.
You will see a pop-up of all the available fields in Ad Orbit that you can map to your Mailchimp list. You can pass dates, text, or single select dynamic attributes.
Warning
You CAN’T use multi-select dynamic attributes. If you don’t see a dynamic attribute in the mapping pop-up, check the setting of your dynamic attribute.
The pop-up shows the name of the field in Ad Orbit . The drop-down shows the names of the tags on your Mailchimp list.
If you update a merge tag in Ad Orbit Mailchimp, you can map the new tag in and push the list again.
Once you push your list, you can use Mailchimp segments and groups to create new Mailchimp campaigns.
Your Mailchimp campaign results will display in Ad Orbit . You can view campaign results under Email Campaigns > Campaign s.
