Set up your Google Ad Manager Integration
In order to connect Google Ad Manager (GAM) with Ad Orbit, you need to make sure you have a GAM account, and the Google Ad Manager module enabled in your Ad Orbit instance. If you do not have the Google Ad Manager module enabled, please reach out to your Ad Orbit support contact.
The first step to connect your GAM account is to go to Settings > Integrations > Google Ad Manager > Setup. To access this page, you need the User Permission 'Google Ad Manager'.
On the Google Ad Manager setup page, you will be presented with a step-by-step walkthrough with written instructions and images, that will instruct you on how to get your IDs from GAM and where to enter them in Ad Orbit.
Proceed through each step of this walkthrough to connect your GAM account to your Ad Orbit account.
After your accounts are connected, the next step is creating your mappings for line items and orders.
Orders and line items go over to Google Ad Manager as soon as the order is 100% approved. How the Order and Line item display in Google Ad Manager is up to you. You can control the naming convention of both the Order Item and Line Item under Settings > Integrations > Google Ad Manager > Name Mapping.
Go to Setttings > Integrations > Google Ad Manager > Name Mapping to create your name mapping. You get to choose what fields will show in Google Ad Manager and in what order.
The Order Mapping allows you to choose the following information to send to GAM:
Publisher
Account
Order ID
Sold Date
The line item mapping allows you to choose the following fields:
Publication
Publisher
Product
Channel
Account
Order ID
Start Date
End Date
Line Item ID
Sold Date
Drag and Drop the elements into the sequence you want. For example, you may want the customer name first, followed by the end date.
The GAM naming also allows you to search and find orders and line items in GAM quickly.
