Lead Statuses

Lead Statuses within Ad Orbit help to keep the sales team on top of their funnel and make sure that their leads are progressing as expected through the pipeline. They can also be utilized to indicate if contacts will not be progressing to a sale.

To create and manage your Lead Sources, go to Settings > Contacts > Lead Statuses. To access this page, you need the 'Contact Setup' User Permission.

  • Here, you can click the +Add Lead Status button in the upper right corner of the page to create a new Lead Status, or click the ellipses icon in the table to edit an existing Lead Status.

    • When creating a new Lead Status, you can specify if it should have a 'Parent' Lead Status.

      • The parent-child relationship for Lead Statuses are utilized for categorization and to make it easier to find your Lead Statuses in dropdowns throughout the system. Children Lead Statuses are essentially sub-categories of the main, or 'parent', Lead Status.

      • Based on how you have set up your parent-child relationships, you may or may not see Lead Statuses showing under the 'Sub-Names' column.

        • You can add or remove Lead Statuses as Children for other Lead Statuses by opening the edit popup for the main Lead Status.

    • When editing or adding Lead Statuses, there are a few additional fields that can help determine how the Lead Status will behave.

      • The Duration (Days) setting reflects the desired amount of time the contact should be in this Lead Status. If a contact is set to this Status for longer than the Duration Days setting, they are outside of the regular cadence, which can be seen on the Lead Status Report.

      • The Terminal Status checkbox indicates that the contact is determined to be a 'dead' lead.

      • There can only be one Default Lead Status set. The Default will be assigned automatically to any new contacts created, but this can be changed as needed.

  • Lead Statuses can also be disabled and re-enabled if needed.

  • Each contact can have one Lead Status set at a time.

Lead Statuses can be used as search and display fields on multiple search pages and reports throughout Ad Orbit.
