Rep Assignment Tool
The Rep Assignment Tool is a way to manually bulk update commission records that may have been inappropriately assigned. Your team’s Chief Admin will automatically have access to the Rep Assignment Tool and can grant other users access by giving them the ‘Allow Access to Data Manipulation Tool’ User Permission. Begin by going to Settings > Data Import/Export > Rep Assignment Tool.
On the Rep Assignment Tool page, you will see a list of commission records that are considered ‘suspicious.' The criteria for a commission record being suspicious are the following
The rep on the commission is different from the order rep.
There is a rep change history on the item that happened after the 10.5 release.
These histories are created when changing a primary rep on a company, and reassigning commissions and future line items to the new primary rep, reassigning primary or secondary reps from the Sales Rep Assignment Report, or terminating a user and reassigning their orders to a new rep.
It is a service, event, or digital media item.
Each commission record will include information about the item, including the order ID, company rep, the current rep assigned to the commission, and the current order rep.
To reassign a commission, use the checkboxes to select the records you would like to update. Once you have chosen at least one commission record, select a New Rep from the dropdown. This will be the user that is listed as the Order Rep for that commission. After choosing a rep and the commissions to update, click ‘Update Rep Assignment(s)’ to assign the new rep.
