Asset Upload Form Templates
Asset Upload Form Templates in Ad Orbit allow you to customize the fields and asset types required for different product uploads. The default behavior is that customers are required to upload an image, or file-based asset to tickets through the Client Center. Asset Upload Form Templates allow you to set up products that will require HTML or video based uploads instead, as well as fully customize which fields display and are required to perform the upload.
To set up your Asset Upload Form Templates, you will need the User Permission 'Asset Upload Form Template'. With the permission, you can go to the Settings > Products > Asset Upload Form Template page to create and manage your templates.

Click on the Add New Asset Upload Form Template button in the upper right corner of the page to create a new template.
In the popup, you'll be required to give your template a name, and select the type. When creating a new template, you can set it as the default if desired.
Note
The default template will be used as the default when creating new products of that type, as well as if a contact is uploading unassigned artwork to their gallery in the Client Center.

There is an optional field in the popup for Client Facing Name. This name will be displayed in the Client Center when there are multiple templates a contact can choose from.
On existing templates, click the ellipses icon on the right side of the table to perform actions. Existing templates can be edited and cloned. If the template is not a default, then it can also be disabled or deleted.

The most important action on existing templates is the 'Form Builder' action. This opens the Form Builder for the template, which is where you can configure and customize the form that your contacts will see in the Client Center.
Form Builder
The Form Builder is split into three columns. The items in the left column are the fields that can be added to the form. The middle column is the actual form. The items included in the middle column are what will show to contacts in the Client Center when they are uploading using that form. Finally, the column on the right lets you customize the fields on the form. Below, we will go through each column in more detail.
Fields (left column)
There are two sections to the Fields column
Add New Asset Field

This section of the form builder allows you to create and add custom fields that may not be included in the fields that are available by default. For instance, by default, there are not drag and drop date fields that can be added to the form. However, you can create a custom field using a date format using this top Add New Asset Field section of the form builder.
Tip
These fields are technically Dynamic Attributes. Once created, they can be managed on the Settings > System Design & Info > Dynamic Attributes page. For more information about Dynamic Attributes, click here.
Click on one of the boxes to create a new asset field of that type. Some of the options include Long Text fields and Multiple-Select dropdowns.
This will open a popup where you can enter the required and optional fields necessary to create the field.

There is both a Template Field Name setting and a Name setting. Since these fields are technically Dynamic Attributes, a unique name is required for each field. What the Template Field Name setting allows you to do is create fields that have duplicate names, whereas the Name setting must be unique. The Template Field Name is what will display once the field is created in the Available Asset Fields list.
Descriptions and default values can be entered in this popup if desired, but these settings are not required. Depending on the field type, there may be a required Restricted Values field.
Once all of the required information is entered, click Save to create the new asset field.
When the field is created, it will show up in the Available Asset Fields list, and can be dragged and dropped onto the form like any other available field.

These fields will be available on the form builder for every Asset Upload Form, not just the one you created the field on.
Available Asset Fields

This section of the form displays every available field that can be added to the form. If you've created New Asset Fields in the first section, these will display here as well as the system defaults.
To add a field to the form, drag and drop the field from the left column and place it into the form in the center column.
If there is a badge on the field that displays a '1', it means that field can only be placed on the form once. If there is no badge on the field, it can be added to the form as many times as desired.
Form (center column)
The center of the form builder shows the format of the form that your contacts will see when uploading assets in the Client Center.

Available Asset Fields from the left column can be dragged and dropped onto the form.
Each field that is on the form can be dragged and dropped to rearrange the order that they show up on the form. To do so, click on the small icon on the left side of the tile, then drag and drop it to the desired placement.
Fields can also be removed from the form by clicking the trash can icon on the tile.
Depending on the type of field that the tile is for, you may see additional information in the tile, that will reflect the field setting details.
Finally, to fully customize the field, click on a tile to open its Field Settings in the right column on the page.
Field Settings (right column)
The Field Settings piece of the form builder allows for the most customization of what your contacts will see and be required to enter when uploading assets in the Client Center. It allows you to change labels for field names, choose what is required or optional, as well as set file type size and type restrictions.

Initially, this column will be blank. To see anything in this column, click on one of the tiles for a field in your form from the center column. This will open the settings for the selected field.

You will be able to change the settings on every asset field, however the settings that are available will be different for each asset field.
For any fields you added to the form builder using the Add New Asset Field (dynamic attributes) functionality in the left column, you can change the label that will display for the field in the Client Center, as well as choose whether the field should be required or optional.
The Anonymous Email field shows the same options, where you can change the label that shows for the field in the Client Center, as well as choose if the field should be required.
Note
If the Anonymous Email field is included on the form, it will only show if the contact is not logged into the Client Center.
The Display Text field allows you to enter text contact that your contacts will see on the form. Unlike the other form fields, there is nothing for your contacts to interact with on this field. Instead, it can be used to provide instructions for uploading, or can be used to provide any other text you want your contacts to see on the form.
The Content, File, Image, and Video fields work very similarly. These are the fields on the form builder that will be used to actually upload the asset content. Each of these are highly customizable in their Field Settings.
Content
The Content field is used for HTML or text-based uploads. You can change the label that shows for the field in the Client Center, as well as choose if the field is required or optional.
There are two additional optional fields that can be included in the main Content field if desired: URL and Note. Each of these can be set as required or optional, and an override label can be set.
File
The File field is the most flexible of the upload fields. It can be used for uploading files of many types, including text, image, and video based files. However, because many different file types are accepted in this field, the settings are not as specific as the other upload fields.
You can set an override label for the field, as well as choose if it is required on the upload.
The Tag setting is optional, and can help identify the uploaded files. If a Tag is entered, it will show in the Client Center on uploaded files, as well as on the internal ticket in Ad Orbit.
By default, all Formats are accepted. If you need to restrict which file formats can be submitted, you can do so by selecting them in the Format dropdown.
There is a hard-coded maximum file upload size of 1 GB, which will be used by default. If you wish the limit to be smaller than that, you can set a Max File Size in this setting.
There are two additional optional fields that can be included in the main File field if desired: URL and Note. Each of these can be set as required or optional, and an override label can be set.
Image
The Image field can be used if you want your contacts to upload specifically image-based files.
Any dimensions for the uploads are accepted by default. If you wish to require a specific, fixed dimension for the upload or require the dimensions be within a certain range, you can do so using the Dimension Type setting and associated width and height settings.
There is a hard-coded maximum file upload size of 1 GB, which will be used by default. If you wish the limit to be smaller than that, you can set a Max File Size in this setting.
There are two additional optional fields that can be included in the main Image field if desired: URL and Note. Each of these can be set as required or optional, and an override label can be set.
Video
The Video field can be used if you want your contacts to upload specifically video-based files.
The Minimum Resolution setting lets you set a requirement for the minimum resolution the uploaded video can be. If set, the uploaded video can exceed the resolution set here, but cannot be lower than it.
Any settings applied to the field will be reflected in the Form in the center of the form builder. For example, if something has been set as required, you will see a 'required' flag on the tile in the form, and if an override label was set, you will see that label in the tile rather than the default setting name.

When you are finished building your Asset Upload Forms, you can begin selecting which forms to use on your products. Read through the Setting Asset Upload Form Templates on your Products page in the help center for more information about your next steps.
