Setting Asset Upload Form Templates on your Products
Asset Upload Form Templates in Ad Orbit allow you to customize the fields and asset types required for different product uploads. The default behavior is that customers are required to upload an image, or file-based asset to tickets through the Client Center. Asset Upload Form Templates allow you to set up products that will require HTML or video based uploads instead, as well as fully customize which fields display and are required to perform the upload.
After you've gone through the setup process for your templates, you can set your templates on your products.
Asset Upload Form Templates can be set on digital media products, either through bulk actions on the digital media product search pages, or on individual products.
If bulk updating, select the Update Asset Upload Form Template action, and select the template(s) you wish to set on the products.
The Asset Upload Form Template can also be set on individual digital media products by editing the product, and changing the value in the Asset Upload Form Template field.
If only one template is selected, your customers will just be presented with that form when uploading assets to tickets for the product.
If more than one template is selected, then they will first be required to choose which template to use, and then they can enter the details on that form.
Asset Upload Form Templates can also be set on print or digital ad items, by selecting the template(s) on the ad size level.
To set Asset Upload Form Templates on a print item, go to Settings > Products > Rate Card & Ad Setup, then click on the Sizes tab.
On this page, when adding or editing an ad size, there is an Asset Upload Form Template field that is required. Here, choose which template(s) to be used for that ad size.
Similar to digital media items, if only one template is selected, your customers will just be presented with that form when uploading assets to tickets for the product.
If more than one template is selected, then they will first be required to choose which template to use, and then they can enter the details on that form.
Below, we will go through a few examples, so you can see how these forms might display to your customers.
Example 1:
This Slot digital media product is set up with two Asset Upload Form Templates.
Since there are two templates used on the product, when the customer goes to upload an asset for that product in the Client Center, they first need to select which form to use. Contacts can toggle between the forms, so they can see any differences and use the form that they want.
When a form is picked, the Add Asset section of the upload page will update to reflect the form's configurations that are set up using the form builder.

Example 2:
This Targeted Display digital media product has only one template set on it.
Since there is only one template used on the product, when the contact goes to upload an asset for that product in the Client Center, they will be presented with the form without having to select a form first.
To upload an asset, they will have to fill out any required fields on the form presented to them.
HTML, or text-based content uploads work slightly different than other file uploads.
When an HTML-based asset is uploaded to a ticket, it will automatically be converted to an .html file.
When you view the asset in the Client Center or on the internal Ad Orbit ticket, unlike file-based assets, you will not see a preview of the file. Instead, you'll see the file name, which can be clicked on to open the HTML content in a new tab.
HTML file types will also be displayed differently in the Asset Gallery in the Client Center. Unlike file assets that can show a preview, HTML files will display basic information about the upload, including the publication, product, and run dates the file is associated with.
