November 9, 2022 New Features
There is a new option in the system to set inventory levels for your Targeted Display digital media products. To manage inventory for the product, go to the Inventory section on the add/edit page. There are two options for how to set up your inventory. If you leave these fields blank, there will be unlimited inventory for the product.
Baseline Inventory
Baseline Inventory is set up based on the channels and publications on the product. For instance, if you have two channels and two publications on your Targeted Display product, you’ll see two columns (one for each pub), and three rows (one for each channel, and one row for ‘no channel’).
The Baseline Inventory will apply to every month. For example, if you set a 5 in one of your options, you can only sell 5 units of the product every month for that channel and publication.
Monthly Inventory
If you wish to override the Baseline Inventory for a specific month, use the Monthly Inventory option. The setup of Monthly Inventory is the same, with publications as your columns and channels as your rows. The difference is that you can scroll between months or use the calendar to jump to a specific month.
You’ll notice that each month of the Monthly Inventory by default will be the same as whatever is set in your Baseline Inventory.
If you set a different value for a month than your Baseline default, the system will use that value for that month instead.
Subscription Bulk Renewal Update
On the Subscription search page, when filtering by a particular publication, there is a bulk action available to Renew the selected publications. This bulk renew popup has been updated this release to allow you to set dynamic attributes as well as other fields including verified date, source code, start and end dates, and choose whether or not to mark the renewals as externally invoiced. The only required fields are the subscription plan, as well as any subscription dynamic attributes that are set up as required in your site. When you renew the subscriptions, each new subscription will have the values set in this popup.
Users can now set Line Item Invoice Amounts on their orders. These amounts are purely for display purposes. For instance, a sales rep may wish to display two $1,000 line items from their order as $1,500 and $500 on the invoice, rather than $1,000 each. But for billing and AR purposes, the line items need to still be recognized as $1,000 each. This is where Line Item Invoice Amounts come in.
To enable this feature, you need to turn on the new system configuration ‘Allow Line Item Invoice Amounts’, and users will need the permission ‘Add/Update Line Item Invoice Amounts’ in order to use the feature.
With these settings in place, on the Billing step of creating an order, you’ll see a new ‘Custom Invoice Amounts’ table where users can set the invoice amount of each line item. The totals of the invoice amounts must equal the actual order total.
If invoice amounts are used, you will be required to use installment billing on the order.
November 9, 2022 Improvements
We are making big moves in our digital media module. This release, many improvements were made on our digital media products. Check out the list below!
Additional channels can be added to reserved products once line items have been created for the product. Previously this was restricted. If a channel is being used on a line item for the product, it cannot be removed.
A new internal system configuration has been created that will allow users to add placements, channels, and ad sizes directly to digital media products, rather than adding them to a publication first. When the configuration is turned on, all placements, channels and sizes will be available to select on each product, regardless of which publications are chosen, and you’ll no longer see the placements, channels, and sizes fields on digital media publications. Contact the support team if you wish to enable this configuration.
Placements can now be edited on impression, targeted display, and reserved digital media products after a line item is created for the product. This means placements can be added or removed at any time and will only affect new line items going forward. For instance, if you have a specific placement on an existing line item and you remove that placement from the product, the placement will still be associated with that line item.
You can now perform bulk actions to update multiple products at a time from each digital media product search page. Use the checkboxes in the table to select the products you wish to update, and click the Update Selected Products button. In the popup, you’ll be able to choose from various bulk actions including changing the price, adding additional users to be notified of changes, and updating ad specs. The changes will apply to all of the selected products.
Clickable breadcrumbs have been added to all digital media product add/edit pages, making it easier to navigate back to the search page.
Additional publications can now be added to reserved digital media products after the product is created. Publications cannot be removed, just added.
Always Show Country on Address
A new option has been added to contract and invoice templates to ‘Always Show Country on Address’. By default, any international addresses will include the country on your templates, and any domestic addresses will not include ‘US.’ Turn on this setting if you wish ‘US’ to display as well as other countries. The option is available on the Company element on contract templates, and on the Contact/Company and Bill To/Order Company elements on invoice templates.
Service Sub-Task Units on Line Items
Service sub-task units can now be overridden on the line item level during the order creation process. When adding or editing a service line item with sub-tasks to a pending or incomplete order, you’ll see a ‘Sub-Tasks’ link next to the Quantity field. When clicked on, it opens a popup that lets you adjust the sub-tasks for that particular item. When creating a project based on your order, the system will use the units set on the line item rather than the default, if they differ.
Other Improvements
We've added new installment schedule options this release. You can now create installment schedules for 24 months and 36 months.
The display of the message you get if invalid dates are entered in a search has been updated to fit MagHub’s styling.
The order rep ID has been added to the Orders Fact table in the DataWarehouse and Metabase. Similarly this release we added the order rep info/name to the Analytics Sale table.
The cancel button on the Ticket Grouping popup on orders has been relabeled to say ‘Close’ instead of ‘Cancel’ to more accurately reflect what the button actually does.
Previously, any active payable account was available to select in the dropdown for an expense item. Users can now specify whether a given PO account can be ‘Expensed’ or not. The default is that PO accounts can be expensed.
